Recent Conversations

The trio has been sick since the 1st. They aren't sleeping well(OK, they never do) and they end up in bed with me(Ok, this too is normal). Joshua woke up the other night about 945. I took him to my room after dosing him with Tylenol. Daddy was getting ready for work. Daddy got ready to leave and gave us kisses. Joshua said "bye daddy". The following conversation took place and lasted about an hour and a half. The lights were off and the TV was off. It was time to go to sleep.

Joshua: "Mommy"
Mommy: "yes Joshua"
Joshua: "It dahk. Bye bye daddy"
Mommy: "yes, it is dark. Close your eyes and when you open them again the dark will be gone and daddy will be home."

5 minutes later.
Joshua: "Mommy"
Mommy: "yes Joshua"
Joshua: "bye bye dahk. bye bye daddy"
Mommy: "close your eyes and when you open them again the dark will be gone and daddy will be home."

5 minutes later the same conversation took place and reoccured about every 5 minutes for the next hour and a half. Thankfully, he finally went to sleep and slept until almost 8.

The other day I was at work. Caitlin came home from school and was taking care of the trio so that daddy could get some sleep before he went to work. I called to check on them and see how things were going. Caitlin tells me that Lucy is driving her nuts. We have a Santa Clause that sings Jingle Bells when you push his tummy. It seems that Lucy was pushing it over and over and over again. This was my conversation with Lucy.

Lucy: "Hi!"(in her very cute high pitched way)
Mommy: "Hi baby girl"
Lucy: "Hi"
Mommy: "Are you being a good girl for sissy?"
Lucy: "yeah"
Mommy: "Are you annoying sissy with Santa Clause?"
Lucy: "yeah"
Mommy: "Maybe you should let sissy have Santa Clause for a while"
Lucy: "OK, bye"

What I heard next was the sound of Santa Clause singing Jingle Bells over and over and over again.

Poor sissy! She can't catch a break some days. I was laughing so hard she hung up on me!
